Rochlitz Mountain & Porphyry Quarries – Where Nature Meets History

This former volcano, with its striking red porphyry stone, shapes the entire region. From the viewing tower, you can enjoy wide views over the Muldental. Seelitz Adventure Tour “Following the Porphyry”

A family-friendly circular route of approx. 13 km along the Mulde through the Rochlitz Muldental. It combines nature, history and exciting stops such as Rochlitz Castle, the swing bridge in Sörnzig, Mordgrund and other mysterious spots along the way. Numerous viewpoints, villages and small discoveries make this a varied outing for families.

The Luther Trail in Saxony is a 564 km hiking route following the footsteps of the Reformation and leading to important sites associated with Martin Luther.
